March 17, at 8: I can not send picture text, what is wrong? I left it up for one hour and it never sent my text pic to a friend. Yep no problem with that… I got my sim card last night and just havent confirmed fully working MMS. Data works lightning fast with your settings in the first APN settings up above. When I received my order confirmation e-mail even their phone number was listed wrong! You can test this. Just send a picture message to yourself. As soon as it starts sending leave your text message screen, set your phone down and wait for it to come down.
Should popup like regular message without having to click download You probably just got to anxious and had your phone in your hand waiting to see if it came through. Sounds good, one thing I noticed though, I have the sync icon on the notification bar constantly. I went into Accounts and Sync in the phone settings and checked, Picasa Web photos option is constantly syncing.
Rebooted, doing the same, I will continue to test. Another friend just confirmed he got my picture text, so everything works for me with your settings. I should post on XDA if you have that thread still going. Just be careful with the unlimited data.
You really only get like 2 — 2. Plus, the constant sync is going to drain your battery. There were a few minor changes to get it working this good. Feel free to post on XDA though and direct people to this post!
August 24, at 4: Do they simply throttle you down or stop your data? I guess I will bookmark this blog update and see if there are changes to the settings periodically. Must go by where you live and the network area. All I know is that I will never try to go over 2.
If I get the call at 2. Your wife will not get picture messaging on her iPhone with Straight Talk unless you jailbreak it. This is very well known fact on Straight Talk. Apple does not allow you to tinker with the settings as much as Android.
This is why I hate Apple so much. They lock their systems down to almost render the user from doing anything with their product. Like box is on the homepage, top right-hand corner. You can bookmark too whatever you prefer. August 24, at 7: But it is also so simple to use for my technology challenged wifey… And not to mention my college is requiring me to get the iPad! I am just disgusted.
Do you know an easy non aggressive way to jailbreak the iPhone 3GS? I should do that for her phone so there are no complaints about switching from ATT. To be honest, I would just YouTube and learn how to jailbreak. I do know that whenever Apple releases a new update, it locks out your jailbreak and then you have to re-do the process.

February 28, at 9: March 2, at 1: March 2, at 9: Thanks for the settings! This is the first post I have read that has talked about having to use a different setting for mms!
Now my old texts I could read are able to download!! Apparently the tfdata profile is still active and works. I called Straighttalk tech support and the person had me log on to the Internet — no problem there — and had me send a picture to myself using MMS. No problem there either. Hi Wayne, thanks for the comment. Yes the old APN tfdata still works. At one point though, maybe they will disable the older APN. The APN you created was saved but not displayed. I have never been soon frustrated with something as I have with this!
Due to cost effectiveness, it was better for me to find a temporary phone to use for 6 weeks until we returned and I could get my phone. Fast Forward to present….. In 32 days I used less than 2G of my purchased 10G of data. If your data is slow or not working, it could be that you are using your phone in an area with poor T-mobile coverage. I curious if the issue is no T-Mobile coverage in your area. This was how it was for the next 4 days, I cancelled my service.
In 1 week I was only able to use mb of dats out of my 32Gb of guaranteed 4glte data. Just a little bit slower than new Quad core phones but worked fine. I had my APN settings working perfectly, I had to factory reset my phone and I cant remember the settings I had, I have tried over 20 different setting types and nothing is working. Go into the APN settings. Do a reset to default or network settings reset.
Delete all the APNs on the phone. Create a new one. I really like it but I had no G data? I have been a straight talk customer for quite some time 5 years. I have the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4. Used the BYOP packet. Had the phone for a little over 2 years.
Apn settings up to date and everything. However my data is super slow. Dial up is faster then my phone. How do I fix this. It has beem slowly driving mad. I agree with you that throttled Straight Talk performance. I have never heard of anyone really being able to fix it. You might be better off looking at two other options if you want to be on the Verizon network. See Two Other Options: Verizon Wireless Prepaid and Total Wireless.
I have no issue with them throttling it. As for verizon, honestly I hate verizon with a passion. Are you saying you never see a 4G LTE indicator in the status bar? Does data ever work? Did you set up the APN? For iPhone, this is the entry: My APM settings will not upload from the iapnupdatevzw. Iphone 5 verizon keeps blocking this.
Happened once before last year, when Straighttalk tried to upgrade the APN. You will not do a restore, but will instead set up a new phone. Upload the APN settings from iapnupdatevzw. Your data should be working. I have the iPhone 5s and for some reason my cellular data will not update. One of the reps sent me a link through text and when I went to it, it did change my profile.
BUT, it connected me to a cellular profile that expired November 19, !! Please, please respond to me ASAP. My phone is a necessity!!
The fact the signing profile is expired has no effect on whether or not the profile works. Delete the profile and reset your network settings and your data should work. Read that article to learn how to do that. If the phone is using the Verizon network, you may not be able to see the APN settings. Try texting APN to My iPhone 6s says it is not eligible so am I just screwed or is there something I can do about it.
If you want to use the Verizon network, I also recommend you check out my video here: Your email address will not be published.
